In the Orrin Petty folder, Chatham county, estate papers ("Orrin", same as "Aran" above) : In 1830 William Petty was administrator of Orrin Petty. In 1832 the following petitioned: David Poe and wife Patsy, Mary Petty, Sally Petty, (by her guardian Allen Goodwin), James Hamblett and wife, Julia, Stanford Petty, Beaufort Petty against William Petty, administrator of Orrin Petty deceased, Abraham Petty, Thomas Petty, Dillard Petty. and James Petty, James Bagley and wife Betsy, David Lyle and wife Polly, Julius Blalock and wife Nancy, Joseph Roe and wife Milly. Mary Petty is the mother and the petitioners are the brothers and sisters of one Orrin Petty of Chatham County, who died intestate September 1827.
