William Avant/Avent born 1804 in VA

Attempting to find any info on William Avant/Avent. He was born in VA around 1805, married Virginia Reynolds who was also born in VA.
At some point they moved to Kentucky and had a large family. One of their sons was my ggrandfather, James M. Avant. James married Laura Coffman around 1876. One of the children of James and Laura was Forest Avant, my grandfather.
I cannot seem to find any info past 1860 for William Avant who was living in KY at that period of time.
