It is possible that my line is from Peter Avant or Avent. The story I was told as a child was that brothers moved to an area around Milledgeville Ga. and split up and my G.G.
Grandfather Herbert Henry Avant moved to Jones County and the other brother moved to Washington County. I can't figure out who Herbert Henry's Father was.
