- Alice Cookes (or Cockes), daughter and heiress of John Cookes of Bristol,[1] was born about 1430 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.[2]
She married (1) John Poyntz, Esq. (died 1465),[1] son of Nicholas Poyntz.[3][4]
Alice (Cookes) Poyntz married (2) Sir Edward Berkeley as his second wife, before 1475. They had three sons:[1]
Thomas Berkeley, Esq.
Maurice Berkeley
William Berkeley, Knt.
Sir Edward died in 1506 and "his widow, Alice, died in 1509."[1][2]
