      Dateline: New Hill Billy Reece Cotten, 82, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Mr. Cotten was born to the late Commodore Reece Cotten and Lina Lee Jones Cotten in 1925. Mr. Cotten is a WWII Veteran, having served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Cotten is survived by his loving wife, Ruby Carroll Cotten, daughter, Vickey Cotten of Gulf Port, MS. Son, Chuck Cotten and wife Ann of New Hill. Sisters, Betty Rose Holsclaw of Durham and Georgie Dale of Broadway. Grandchildren, Stephenie Mueller and husband Richard, Brantly Adcock and wife Ashley, Elisha Mitchell and husband William, Matthew Cotten, Josh Cheeseman and Barrett Cotten. Great Grandchildren, Madison and Riley Adcock, Alex, Emma and Ella Mitchell. The family received friends at Williford Funeral Home on Friday, August 1, from 7 ? 8:30. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Buckhorn United Methodist Church. Rev. Janet Balasko will officiate the services. Burial with military honors will follow at the church cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Wake County, 1300 St. Mary
