December 16,1889, Grenada Co.MS; m.Sarah Frances Lyon,1851.Father was Amos Aven(1775-1855)m.Matilda Rogers (1780-1856) in 1808. Siblings, Thomas, John W., Elijah, William Fern, Chesley N., Eliza and 3 unknowns. I have a copy of land records in Mississippi that show Green R.Aven purchased land, 543 acres, October 1, 1860 and that it was a "cash entry sale" in Grenada County, MS. A Ferney C Aven had made a purchase June 1, 1860 of 543 acres. These purchases were in Sections 6E and 7E respectively, not sure of Township and Range. Greene Aven was a brother to my grandfather Amos Wesley Aven.
