Court Minutes: 1782: William Avent, son of Joseph, chose John Avent guardian of his estate John Avent appointed guardian of the estate of John Avent, Jr., son of Joseph Avent Soon after this the widow of Joseph Avent is appointed adm. of his estate. William Avent was selling land on Lick Creek (near Memphis Church) that had been a patent to his deceased father Joseph. These deeds were in 1788 and 1790.
