Shows his middle name as Hudson(?). Wife's name is given as Tessie, and birth date matches Early Henry's, so must be Early Henry Avent.

      Avent, E. H. (b. 9 Dec 1882 - d. 22 Oct 1918)

Son of William A. and M.A. Cotten Avent. 'None know thee but to love thee. None named thee but to praise.'

from Vicki Avent Pack, of Toledo, OH:

"When Early died of the flu during the Pandemic of 1918, Tessie was left with four young children. She made the decision to take the family to The Junior Order of United American Mechanics National Orphans' Home. Early was associated with the Home. My Aunt Geraldine died there at the age of 12 and was buried on the property. When the home was closed, the burial sites were moved to a group site at Greenlawn Cemetery. Blair and Joe were raised there until they graduated from high school and went on their own. My Grandmother remarried Lawrence Barber and was allowed to take one child. Since my dad was the youngest, she made the difficult decision to take him."
